We open our photography studio to the artist community a few times per year to provide professional high resolution quality photography of your art as well as artist headshots for your publicity and anything else you may need out of these mini sessions.

Q. Who is photoStyles?
A. photoStyles is your favorite local portrait studio! We are a locally owned and operated photography studio that specializes in studio portrait photography. We work with professional equipment and have over 15 years experience in photography, graphic design and printing.
Q. Why so inexpensive, what’s the catch?
A. When you book a normal session with us you are paying for everything yourself, setup, breakdown, calibration, office work, image handling, etc. By booking multiple sessions in a single day we are able to spread the cost of doing the shoot across many people therefore making your time block more affordable. Keep in mind this is not a creative art photography session, this is for archiving, advertising and digital reproduction, simple setup, simple lighting true to life capture of your artwork. We do offer creative photography session for doing staged photography where we work to display your art in an environment and bring life and personality to the image. Q. When should I arrive?
A. Please arrive at your session at least 15 min early to get checked in and ready for your shoot. If you arrive late you will have to wait until the next available slot opens up.
Q. What backgrounds will you have available?
A. 2 Dimensional art will be shot on a black backdrop and cropped into the closest edge of the art.
3 Dimensional art will be shot on Black, White or Grey (Your choice)
Headshots will be shot on Black, White, Grey or use your art! (Your Choice)
Q. Can I get multiple angles of my 3D art piece.
A. Yes we will shoot up to 3 angles of your 3D art piece
Q. How many headshots do you take?
A. We will take 3 separate headshot poses for you to choose from which will all be available on the disk.
Q. is there any limitations on the use of the images
A. No, all images will have a copyright release from photoStyles, Inc. You are free to use these images in whatever fashion you see fit.
Q. How will my art be captured and delivered?
A. All images will be at their highest resolution in .jpg format. Images are captured using a 12mp full frame Nikon D700 and a high end professional Nikkor lens. Lighting is set up to be consistent and even across your image. Camera, computer and monitor are all color calibrated and the lighting is properly color balanced to ensure true to life reproduction of your art.
Q. Do I get to choose the images?
A. You will not be proofing images on site, every images shot will be put on a disk for you at full resolution.
Q. What other services do you provide?
A. At your session we will provide you with a list of other services that we offer for after your shoot. Some examples of services we offer are Digital Correction of images (Hue, Saturation, Color, Levels, etc) Image Restoration, Headshot Retouching, Copyrighting Services, Digital Reproduction, Enlargements and more.
Q. What is the maximum size you can photograph?
A. Our visible shooting area is appx 7′ tall and 10′ wide, the doors to our studio are standard commercial single doors. If you can get it in our door and into our shooting area we can shoot it.
Q. Is there anything I cannot photograph?
A. No, if you are a tattoo artist and want a tattoo photographed, bring your model. If you are a body painter and need your latest creation photographed, we’ve got you covered. As far as we’re concerned Art is Art and if it fits in our studio we’ll shoot it!
Q. What about framed art?
A. Your framed art piece will photograph best if there is no glass. If removing the piece from it’s frame or removing the glass is not possible our lighting setup should eliminate most reflection and glare but please be sure to clean everything prior to coming into the studio for best results. Unfortunatly, we cannot guarantee that there will not be reflections or glare in your finished image.
Q. When do I pay?
A. Payment is due at the time of booking, you will book your appointment and pay online via credit card. If you would like to book your session and pay in person feel free to stop by the studio during the week but because we work by appointment please call us at 407-442-9633 to be sure someone is there to assist you.
Q. What’s your cancellation policy?
A. Session fees are non-refundable, if you need to cancel your appointment and you contact us at 407-442-9633 at least 24 hours prior to your appointment we will reschedule your shoot for our next Artist Appreciation Day. If you are late to your scheduled time you will need to wait for the next available time slot or we can reschedule you for the next Artist Appreciation Day. If you do not call to cancel and do not show up to your scheduled appointment your fee is not refundable and no rescheduling will be available.
Q. Do you guarantee your work?
A. Yes! If we do not produce an image that you are happy with we would be happy to re-shoot your work at no charge, It must be the same art. Note: We cannot re-shoot headshots for problems with hair or makeup.
