Q. What is included in a standard session?
A. Our standard session takes an hour on average. When you book your session you have the option of coming in to the studio for a session consultation or if it is more convenient we can send you our online questionnaire or review over the phone.This will give us the basis for designing your shoot. On the day of the session, you will come into the studio and we will spend time working with you to make sure we get the pictures you want. After the session is finished, we will schedule an appointment for you to come back to the studio for your presentation. The presentation is generally a week after the photo session to give us time to edit all of the images.
Q. What should I wear to my photo session?
A. In general, it is best to wear dark, solid colored clothing for your pictures. Patterns, prints and bright colors can be distracting taking focus off the people. Dark solid colors also help to give a portrait a timeless feeling that won’t look dated in a few years.
Q. When will I be able to view my images?
A. At your photo session we will schedule a time for you to return for a viewing of your photographs approximately 1 week from the date of your session. At your viewing you will have an opportunity to purchase prints and products from your photo session.
Q. When do I order prints and products?
A. We will work with you at your viewing to create your order, when you set up your session you should have received our “Who Needs What” form to help you identify what you would like to purchase for yourself and family or friends from your session. Be sure to bring that with you during your presentation and also have anyone who needs to be in on the decisions there as well.
Q. Do I have to place my order at the viewing?
A. No you do not but there are pricing incentives for completing your order at your viewing. Also it is easiest for us to help you with questions, answers and suggestions in person. Orders after your viewing will be at our regular posted prices.
Q. How long after my session do I have to order prints?
A. We keep all images for 2 weeks from your viewing appointment. After two weeks your images are archived for 1 year, there is a $50 fee or $300 minimum order for us to restore your images from the archive.
Q. You created a video for my image presentation, is that available to purchase?
A. Yes it is, you may purchase a digital copy of your presentation for playback on computers and other digital devices for $65. We also offer a Video DVD and digital file combo in a keepsake image cover for $115.
Q. Do you offer same day service?
A. We do not offer same day service on our standard portrait sessions. While photoStyles strives to be priced closer to what you may expect to spend at a retail chain photography studio, we work to also provide you with quality photographs and products. These are items that take time to produce to our level of standards and we have chosen to provide our clients with quality over speed.
Q. Will I be able to view my images online?
A. We have a tiered scale that offers incentives based on the amount of your purchase. With a $150 purchase your images will be posted to an online gallery for 2 weeks to allow any friends and family you choose to order prints for themselves directly from the studio. At this level we also allow you to download the watermarked images from this gallery to share electronically via email, facebook, myspace, etc.
Q. Can I purchase digital copies of my images?
A. We offer 2 different levels of image CDs. The first one is a scrapbook disk that has images printable up to size 4×6 for $99. The other option is a full resolution disk with a personal use license for $399.
Q. What is a mini session?
A. Mini sessions will be offered several times a year as part of an all day event. We will advertise these days via Facebook, email, the web site, etc. A mini session will be 15-30 minutes on average. Immediately following the photo shoot, you will view your images and make your selection(s). In most cases, there will be a few packages to pick from. A package will consist of a variety of different sizes of 1 pose. Additional items not included in the package will also be available.
